TeacherJay has been tagged by Neil Hokanson at HIT to participate in the “Eight Things You Didn’t Know About Me” meme that’s been going around. Here are the rules:

1) Post these rules before you give your facts.
2) List 8 random facts about yourself.

1. TeacherJay is a huge Disney fan and collector of Disneyana – he even has a cousin named Mickey.

2. As a teenager TeacherJay’s hair changed color often – blue, green, red, etc., now it’s falling out :-(

3. TeacherJay once spent a summer working as a radio dispatcher at a garbage truck company.

4. TeaherJay worked his way through college as a professional actor and was offered a job as a children’s theatre director if he would quit school and work full-time – he turned it down and it was for the better.

5. At one point in life TeacherJay wanted to be a Presbyterian missionary (like his grandfather).

6. TeacherJay’s apartment has a view of the Empire State Building, the UN, the Chrysler Building and a few others.

7. One of TeacherJay’s goals in life is to visit every country in North, Central and South America. He would like to drive from Texas all the way to Chile.

8. TeacherJay is a Baha’i.

    I did not know that you worked as a radio dispatcher for a garbage truck co. I always thought riding on the back of a gbg truck would be a fun job. Why didn’t you do that?
